1. A few days before your appointment you should receive a confirmation e-mail and/or text. Attached to the email you will find a medical history questionnaire for you to fill in and sign prior to your appointment and return via e-mail or brought with you to the appointment. This will also be available on our website.
2. You will be contacted the day before the appointment and your medical history will be rechecked. Any patient who has symptoms or thinks they may have symptoms of COVID will have their appointment rebooked. These symptoms include; high temperature, a new and persistent cough, and loss or change to your sense of taste and smell.
3. On the day of the appointment please attend promptly. If you are late, we may not be able to see you.
4. We would ask that only you attend the appointment, unless you need a chaperone.
5. Children can be accompanied to their appointment by one adult only. Please do not bring other children with you. Please also ensure that you attend with the minimum of personal belongings.
6. No food or drink allowed on premises.
7. Unfortunately, there will be no access to toilet facilities.
8. When you reach the surgery, please ring the buzzer. You will only be allowed into the building if it is safe to do so in order to maintain social distancing. Once inside, you will be asked to clean your hands using the hand gel sanitizer. You will also be provided with a facemask if you don’t have your own face covering. Your temperature will then be taken with a touch-free thermometer.
9. You will be accompanied into the surgery.
10. Once you enter the surgery, the door will be shut for the duration of the appointment. The dentist and nurse will be in attendance at all times and will not leave.
11. All reception staff and dentists will be wearing appropriate PPE.
12. Following treatment you will be escorted out of the building in the safest way possible.
13. We would request that payments be made by credit/debit card.
We have undertaken these changes with the guidance and recommendations of Public Health England (PHE) with the safety of staff and patients at its essence.
